Boarding School Software is a secure, cloud-based platform designed for boarding schools and families to manage and record student movements, Leave and Rollcall – all in real time.

No – the same software is provided to all schools. There’s no per-student pricing, so a large school and a small school get the same full system.

Yes. You can configure houses/dormitories, staff roles, locations, leave types and workflows to match your school’s layout. If you need help with setup options, simply reach out – we’re happy to advise.

Yes. Parents approve their child’s leave requests. The Head of Boarding decides which communications go to parents and which remain internal to staff.  HoB can manage or delegate the final call on Leave requests.

The system supports Windows (desktop), iOS (Apple), and Android devices. As with any software, very old devices or outdated operating systems would likely experience limited functionality.

Not at all. The system is designed so that a senior boarding manager – or a school IT person, can set it up alone. Once you upload your students (CSV or Excel), you can be up and running the same day. No complicated setup, and minimal ongoing support is needed.  You will also likely already be familiar with the interface after having access to go-liberty Boarding School, our sample platform.

No. Boarding School Software is cloud-based and only operates via our secure hosting. This ensures students, parents and staff can access the system even when off-campus, similar to how banks operate.

By default, no. We believe standalone operation keeps data clean and secure. If you want integration (eg. via an API), we can provide it – but additional custom work and licensing fees may apply.
Full separation between admin, medical or pastoral data can exist, you simply tick the appropriate boxes during setup.

Yes. Our system includes a broadcast function. You can send messages – urgent or general – to all users, or to selected groups (staff, students, parents) depending on what the situation requires.

We support Two-Factor Authentication to help secure private data. We don’t default use SSO between external school systems by default (for security and independence).
However, SSO is a simple API and if you request this it is a simple process to activate in conjunction with your trusty IT experts.  A simple solution, staff and students may choose identical login credentials to ones they already use – which makes access easier, without compromising security.

Pros: The system has been carefully developed over years – covering essential features for every boarding school. You get full functionality from day one, and customer support is a priority.
Cons: We don’t sell “add-ons” or tiered packages. Every subscriber gets full access – which means if you only need a few features now, you may not need everything the system offers. We are exploring optional extensions (eg. biometrics), but these will remain elective, given sensitivity around data privacy and legal compliance.

We build the platform to meet (or exceed) global data-protection standards, including frameworks like GDPR (Europe) and CCPA (USA).
Your data is stored securely, encrypted, and managed in compliance with data-residency and privacy best practices. Schools choose their preferred storage region during onboarding, ensuring compliance with local regulations.

You have the “right to be forgotten.” On request, we will provide you with an aggregated copy of your data, then securely delete all stored records, in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions.

The system is built and maintained by a dedicated team with real boarding-school experience. We continuously review feedback from clients to improve features and refine functionality.
If you request a feature that doesn’t yet exist, we’ll evaluate it carefully – and if practical, include it in our roadmap. We commit to responding to all requests promptly – that is a point that sets us apart.

Our system streamlines rollcalls & leave approvals whilst recording night-duty logs, ensuring student exeats are tracked and auditable, making duty-of-care consistent and transparent.

We store data in secure AWS cloud servers with configurable data-residency options, enforce strong privacy protocols, and offer reporting tools for oversight thereby helping schools meet (normally exceeding) GDPR, CCPA or equivalent regulations.
